The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith

Rating★★★★

Blurb:
Lucy and Owen meet somewhere between the tenth and eleventh floors of a New York City apartment building, on an elevator rendered useless by a citywide blackout. After they're rescued, they spend a single night together, wandering the darkened streets and marveling at the rare appearance of stars above Manhattan. But once the power is restored, so is reality. Lucy soon moves to Edinburgh with her parents, while Owen heads out west with his father. Lucy and Owen's relationship plays out across the globe as they stay in touch through postcards, occasional e-mails, and -- finally -- a reunion in the city where they first met.

Review:
This book was really easy and really fast to read. It was cute and sweet and I loved Lucy and Owen. I love how they traveled  but still kept in touch. I loved many things about this book. It was over all good and if someone was getting out of a slump like I was then it was perfect because there was nothing serious it was just fun and sweet and cute and I know I keep saying those words but, that is what it is.

Owen and his father moved around because of his mother passing away and they did not want to be home  they also were not ready to deal with having to get rid of everything. They were tough times though because they had to live off random jobs and they moved a lot. It made me understand why the book was called the Geography of You and Me.

Lucy's family is always busy traveling and her brothers are gone for schooling so most of the time she if left alone and then she gets stuck in an elevator with a boy that she has seen but, has never talked to so it is a new friendship blooming.... maybe more.  Lucy also ended up moving a lot because her parents kept finding different jobs, mainly her dad  he was always busy.

Sometimes I wondered if Lucy and Owen would ever get together because it took them a while so I was not quite sure, but when they did it was well worth it.

I have not read any other books from Jennifer E. Smith yet but I plan on it I have other books from her on my TBR list so I am excited to see what happens in the next books :) I would recommend this book though for those easy summer reads.
