Rock Chick by Kristen Ashley

Rating: ★★★★

Genre:  Romance, Contemporary, Humor, Adult

Description:  Indy Savage, cop's daughter, rock chick and used bookstore owner, has been in love with Lee Nightingale, once bad boy, now the man behind Nightingale Investigations, since she was five years old. No matter what ingenious schemes Indy used to capture his attention, Lee never showed an interest and Indy finally gave up. Now Indy's employee, Rosie, has lost a bag of diamonds and bad guys are shooting at him. When Indy gets involved, Lee is forced to help. Complicating matters, Lee has decided he's interested, Indy's decided she's not. But she can't seem to keep Lee out of her life when she's repeatedly stun gunned, kidnapped and there are car bombs exploding (not to mention she's finding dead bodies).
Indy's best bet is to solve the mystery of the diamonds before Lee. Lee's challenge is to keep Indy alive and, at the same time, win back her heart.

Review: This book was really good and it was funny. It was really funny and Indy and Lee go so well together.

Indy always wanted Lee and she would always try to get his attention by acting silly, but she did not know that Lee wanted her too but could not have her because of how complicated his life is and how dangerous it is if she got involved. Indy is not any woman and she likes to get involved in things even if it means danger, she is stubborn and does not know when to stop getting in danger.

Lee helps her with that. He is in the military and helps her when she gets in trouble although he does not do it out of the goodness of his heart there are some things he wants in return which are pretty awesome considering Indy has wanted him for a while, but he never showed interest.
Indys best friend is also Lees sister so they are all intertwined.

This book was well written and it was really funny, sometimes a little frustrating because of Indy and Lee problems, but when those hiccups were out of the way and the bad guys were out of the way everything went smoothly and happily I think. There are more books to this series so I am excited to read the other stories. I hope Lees sister will get a book because that would be hilarious to read about, she if even worse than Indy will and getting in trouble.
