Last To Know by Micalea Smeltzer

Synopsis::Up and coming band Willow Creek is back in their hometown for the summer. For the drummer, Maddox Wade, this summer was meant for writing music and playing gigs.
Falling in love was not part of the plan.
One look at Emma Burke and those plans cease to matter.
Emma is quiet and guarded. She’s still hurt from her father walking out two years ago. She doesn’t want to trust Maddox, but with his dark hair, smoldering good looks, and infectious smile he’s impossible to resist.

Together Maddox and Emma embark on an unforgettable summer of adventures and first love.
Everything is perfect…or so Emma thinks.

There are things she doesn’t know, and when she finds out the truth it might shatter everything she’s built with Maddox.

No one said love was easy, and for Maddox and Emma it just might be impossible.

Review: Maddox Wade and Emma Burke... They are amazing each separately and together. They may be young, but they both know what they want

Maddox Wade had a tough childhood and he went through a lot. He has a really big heart and he is the sweetest boy. His twin on the other hand not as sweet, but this story is not about Mathias it is about Maddox.

Emma Burke loves to be by herself, she does not like big crowds and would rather be reading then going out. Her best friend is an extrovert and makes her do many things that are not in her interest, but it helps her meet Maddox so that is a good thing.

Emma’s best friend Sadie brings her to a carnival and ditches her to go see a band called Willow Creek. Emma was expecting Sadie to come back after the show, but when she does not Emma is left alone and Maddox walks in. When he sees that Emma has no clue who he is, he uses that to his advantage and gets to know her.

Throughout the whole book I expected Emma to figure it out, but she never did and there were some really simple hints about who Maddox was, she never caught on though, which made me a little mad because then she got mad about it once she found out. I yelled at this book a little bit mostly when Maddox told Emma about himself and gave her hints to guess that he was in the band.

I love when books have a happy ending, but I hate when the girl is stubborn and does not want to forgive the guy because he wanted to do something that benefited them both.  This book was sweet and it was a quick read because I could not put this book down. I have always loved Micalea Smeltzer even with her other series Trace and Olivia. I expected to love her books and it did love up to the expectation with minor annoyances, but its okay it was worth it.
